You do not need to volunteer to experience the life of HOME. From the moment the doors open, paying guests are welcome to come and immerse themselves in the community — working alongside residents, eating together, participating in ceremonies, learning from everyone they meet.
A stay at HOME is not a holiday. It is not a retreat in the conventional sense. It is an invitation to step inside a living experiment — to eat the food, attend the ceremonies, work the land, visit the studios, and understand from the inside what a genuinely integrated community looks and feels like.
Many guests arrive curious. Most leave changed. Some never quite leave — returning again and again, or eventually finding their way to a longer commitment to the community.
A sliding scale, honestly applied.
Dormitory place with all meals, full community access, and participation in all gatherings and ceremonies.
£100 per week — for those for whom cost is a genuine barrier. Offered sparingly and with honesty.
£250 per week — the community rate. What most guests contribute.
£500 per week — for those who wish to contribute more and support the community's work. Warmly welcomed.
We ask guests to be honest with themselves about where they sit on this scale. The community depends on that honesty. Nobody is turned away for lack of means — but the generosity of those who can give more makes that possible.
Guest accommodation is the shared dormitory — hammocks hung from wall hooks, roll-out futons, or for those who prefer it, a tarpaulin pitched on the land under the stars. Sleeping outside on the ground is not an eccentric option at HOME. It is often the best night's sleep anyone has ever had.
The simplicity is intentional. It is part of what the stay teaches.
Guests who come in the early days of HOME will be present at something extraordinary — a community in the act of becoming itself. The energy of a founding moment is different from anything that comes after. The conversations are rawer, the connections deeper, the sense of possibility more alive.
Many of the people who will eventually live at HOME — as residents, team members, or buy-to-belong investors — will first have come as guests. This is how communities are built: one encounter at a time.
"Come and see what is possible. That is all we ask."
Some guests come for a week. Others stay for a month or a season. Longer stays are discussed individually — as are specialist visits focused on a particular domain, such as fermentation, permaculture, doula practice, or media production. These are priced accordingly and arranged in conversation with the Guest and Volunteer Coordinator.
